Welcomes you to
The Smokey Mountains,
Tennessee

Many thanks to Glenda, the 'other Robin Hood,' for sending these spectacular pictures.  I had the honor of meeting Glenda this summer, 2004, a true Southern Lady!

The Great Smokey Mountains National Park is a woodland, wildlife sanctuary.   The fog rising through the trees gave this section of the Appalachian mountain range it's name.

Cumberland Falls is located in Daniel Boone National Forest just below Corbin, Kentucky.  Known as the "Niagara of the South" the waterfall forms a 125 foot wide curtain that plunges 60 feet into the gorge below.

Located in Tennessee, this unspoiled forest is similar to what the early settlers experienced.  Autumn's pageantry of colors usually peak around mid October.
The mist from the falls creates a unique phenomenon called a moonbow.  Moonbows are only visible on clear nights when the moon is full.  The surrounding forest is a haven for wildlife, flora, and fauna
